| Customer Reviews: DAT study July 31, 2010 Stephen Willard Great summary for Chemistry. I'm an accountant going back for dental. I've taken chem and org chem, but this book was a great summary of chemistry topics. It has plenty of practice tests with good examples. If you can do everything in this book, you probably wouldn't need college chem 1&2.
I try to save money w/ test prep by studying free off of websites and out of my old book. This is the best, most succinct resource I've found preparing for such a test (I'm sure also great for MCAT, AP, CLEP, etc).
Also check out Cliffs AP Biology...just as good.

Not Accurate To The Test October 9, 2009 hawksong62 (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The biggest problem I had with this study guide was how it balanced out the subject matter, especially in the practice tests. The tests from this book over-emphasized Organic Chemistry, with up to 10 problems per practice test. I stressed myself out over things I had not learned in class thinking I was missing out on valuable information, but the actual AP test had only one true Organic Chemistry question on it, which I learned before using this book. I think this is a good test of your chemical knowledge, but doesn't accurately represent how the actual AP test material will be. On the bright side, however, if you could ace these practice tests, you're more than likely to get a 4 or 5 on the real thing!
